Happy Birthday to a very special person...
You complain about aging, yet every new sign that you’re getting older
reminds me how blessed I am to have you for another birthday, another year.
You worry about sags and bags and wrinkles yet all I see is the life and love in your eyes.
Your contagious smile still warms my heart.
Your silly humor still lifts me with laughter.
I hope and pray that you’ll get older and older and older,
because when you’re 100,I’ll enjoy you and lubs you even more than I do today.
Happy Birthday you silly fart,
And many, many, many more.
TW, Have a super duper birthday. Thank you for being such a great hero. I’m sorry that I will be missing your birthday next year, but you know I won’t forget it. *muahz*

This female human is learning how expensive studying abroad can be. It will be her first time to be on her own, striving on her own, one year on her own and earning and learning on her own. During her undergrad years, she had her bestfren thru out the way, she was not scared, she was skipping happily. This country has molded her into the ‘taken care of’ human that she is, no worries… no fears. But now she is going to go out of that cage, and find the need for survival on her own. Will this ugly caterpillar be a butterfly… or will she just keep on crawling and munching on the low leaves. She is scared of what is to come. Even the emails sent by her uni is causing her to tear. But she knows… this thing is still a blessing.

Nope I am not !!!!!!! I have to admit I’m not !!!!! It even got me thinking bout not going…. thats how bad things are. I googled ‘one year packing abroad’ and here’s what I got out of it.
Lay out the bags and pack 7 sets of regular clothing. Choose items you can mix & match and try to avoid things that require dry cleaning. Also pack gym clothes & shoes, a swimsuit & flip-flops, and two pair of everyday shoes and in the suitcases. Take a bath robe. You should pack an additional complete set of clothes in your carryon and you will be wearing a set, so that gives you 9 days of regular clothing and 3 pair of everyday shoes.
Pack at least one set of dress clothing, shoes, and accessories in the suitcases.
Take a folding umbrella, a light jacket and a sweater with you in your carryon.
Winters there can be cold (especially in the north) but it isn’t the arctic and you don’t need any special clothing. You also won’t need winter clothing until later in the year so you don’t have to take it with you in the suitcases. Consider packing the winter clothes you will need in boxes and mailing them to yourself. If you don’t yet know the address than leave the packages with someone you can trust to send them once you have the address. You can also mail to yourself additional sets of dress clothing if necessary.
Do take a laptop if you have one. The laptop should be your second carryon bag. All laptops today accept any voltage, so all you will need is a plug adapter that fits international electrical outlets. Most electronics like i-Pods and PSPs also accept any voltage (look on the power supply cord) and you can use them there with just a plug adapter. Make sure the plug adapters fit your electronic items.
DON’T take anything that requires a voltage converter. That includes items like USA hair dryers and curling irons. Just buy 220 volt appliances like that after you get there.
Take toiletries (including prescription medications) for one month. That will give you time to find shops with the things you like. You can always get what ever else you need there.
I’m not sure which of these I have or don’t have, blurgh! Ransacked the room and found little treasures that I was sure I’d lost, at least I kinda separated my ‘bring’ and ‘no bring’ clothes… and uhhh.. my ‘bring’ ones are kinda…. MANY !!!! Got to find out how much luggage am I allowed to bring.
List out starts tmrw !!! any other ideas ?? comment pls ! Heres a link to the B2S page thats fully dedicated to my journey back to school, I’m really hoping the silver lining will show up soon.
